If you are looking for a campsite close to Ludlow and set in beautiful scenery then look no further.
The certificated campsite adjacent to the Baron offers the perfect base for a holiday in beautiful South Shropshire.
The Baron at Bucknell is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Stunning views, great walking, cycling, and many historical sights make this area a real treasure. We have a small, level paddock just to the rear of the beer garden which has basic amenities including electric hook ups and water. There are no hard standings or designated pitches, so if coming as a group please advise us when booking and we will keep space for you.
We mainly have caravans and camper vans but are getting an increasing number of tents. Please note there are no pot washing facilities and only one shower which is in the disabled toilet and accessible via a code which you get when you register with reception.
We welcome responsible dog owners. Well behaved dogs are allowed in the beer garden and public bar. Food can be served throughout the pub and a takeaway service is also available.
“The site is small, quiet, deep in the Shropshire countryside and a 20 second walk
to the pub - which we loved! The food at the pub is divine - especially the steaks.
Access to the site is pretty easy.
The toilet set-up is to use the pub toilets during
the day and the externally accessed disabled toilet/shower/baby change during the
night. The external door is coded access so ask for the code when you book in. The
shower is available at specified times of the day.
The staff and locals at the Baron
of Beef are really friendly and we will definitely be returning with our toddler
in tow as we are confident it will be a cracking, safe site for her to run around
on.”
