Dining In
If you wish to cater for yourself a fridge freezer, microwave and air fryer are available in you room with some storecupboard essentials (salt, pepper, oil, tea, coffee and sugar). A small milk is provided in the fridge for arrival. We can provide a breakfast box or charcuterie platter food hamper for you to enjoy if you don’t want to bring your own food. Please order these on booking. Some items are baked by Debra, others are supplied locally.
We have a number of local cafes, pubs and restaurants just a short drive away listed opposite.
Kebabs, pizzas and burgers can be delivered from Knighton to your garden room. Ashlea Pools is a 5 minute drive away and serves rustic authentic Italian pizza to eat in or takeaway.
Please order food hampers or extra special requests at time of booking to avoid disappointment as we are rural and often have to pre order items in!
Dining Out
We are blessed with some passionate independant businesses just a short drive from the village. There are no Uber services locally and taxis are a rare find. If you are planning to eat at any pub or restaurant please phone ahead to check opening hours and availability.
- The Sitwell Arms, Bucknell other end of village – 10 minute walk. Village local with good pub food (closed Tuesdays) 01547 530213
- The Lion, Leintwardine – country inn with nice food. 10 minute drive towards Ludlow 01547 540203
- The Oak, Wigmore – great for a special occassion. Open Wednesday to Saturday 01568 770424. 12 minute drive towards Hereford
- The Riverside, Aymestry – lovely hotel and restaurant. 15 minute drive towards Hereford 01568 708440
- There are a number of pubs, cafes and restaurants in our market towns. The most reknowned is Ludlow with over 500 listed buildings famous for its food festival and local, artisan produce. The Charlton Arms, Church Inn and Wheatsheaf are our favourites pubs. There are also a couple of Indian Restaurants, a Thai takeaway and some very good cafes.
- Knighton has some good pubs and a takeaway which delivers kebabs, pizzas and burgers. Order online for delivery. Chandos Kebab, Knighton 01547 528085. Open from 3pm- 11pm 7 days a week.
