Open & COVID-19 Secure
Keeping you safe in these challenging times…If you are feeling unwell and have any COVID 19 symptoms, you will not be able to visit us. Anyone exhibiting symptoms will not be allowed on the premises.
We’re doing everything we can to ensure your safety and give you a great experience when you visit. Our standards of hygiene and cleanliness have been enhanced to ensure your visit is as safe as possible including hand sanitizer at entrances, deep cleaning public areas and bedrooms, including disinfecting soft furnishings. Our opening hours have changed to allow for the extra, ongoing deep cleaning and so we will no longer be open Friday and Saturday lunchtimes. We are Open on Sunday lunchtime and offering our delicious Sunday roasts. If you want to come and stay with us, please book directly on our website for the best rates.
The Stable Bar is open if you want to pop in for a drink – however there are limits to the numbers allowed in the premises and it is table service only so you won’t be able to order or sit at the bar. Contact details of everyone who visits us will be recorded for NHS track-and-trace scheme. Please don’t bring dirty glasses to the bar. We will clear these when we deliver your next drink.
You’ll need to book a table in advance to dine with us as we are limiting the number of covers each night to maintain social distancing. We are requesting parents/guardians keep young children under close supervision and not allow them to run around and worry other diners. There is more space between diners’ tables and we try and stagger bookings as much as possible. If you don’t want to come in and eat or haven’t booked a table, we are offering a takeaway menu with all your favourites that you can enjoy at home (available evenings from 5pm) which can be picked up from reception or call us from the car park if you don’t want to come in, and we will bring your takeaway out to you.
If you’re a guest coming to stay, we’ll contact you 7 days before you arrive to check you’re OK. If you are unable to visit due to ill health, we will rearrange your booking to a future date when you’re fully recovered. We ask you to arrive from 4pm to give us time to thoroughly prepare your room for you.
You’ll be asked if you want to eat in the restaurant, or if you prefer have room service. We’re not laying out our breakfast buffet at present, but you can still have homemade granola and homemade marmalade – it’ll just come to you straight from the kitchen! You can even order sandwiches for lunch the evening before, which will be available for you, freshly prepared at breakfast.
We’ve made a few changes to our housekeeping routines. We ask that you vacate your room during the daily service. (Guests can of course opt out of having their room serviced if they prefer). Some servicing (for example hot tub’s) has to be done even if you don’t need anything else.
As a family owned and operated business our small team of staff are part of our extended family. We will all be working to give you the best visit ever. We’ve really missed you!
The safety of our staff is as important to us as our customers. Please respect social distancing, the “new normal” service standards and be respectful towards staff and other customers. Staff will wear a face covering when serving you at your table and have PPE for cleaning and housekeeping.
Our business has been built on the strength of our family spirit and can-do attitude with our small team of hard working and dedicated staff. We are confident you will have a great visit to our lovely country inn and look forward to welcoming you.
Stay safe and hope to see you at the Baron soon.
