Fly Fishing at Jay Farm Fishery, Leintwardine

The Jay is a small family run farm in a peaceful and beautiful environment. It has six acres of pasture surrounding a 1.5 acre pool fed from natural springs. It has abundant plant, insect and animal life and is the perfect place to spend a few hours or even a few days fishing.
The farm is a haven for all forms of wildlife, some rarer than others. The Redlake itself has been awarded the top classification for water quality by the Environment Agency and is monitored and studied at regular intervals throughout the year. It contains several rare species of plant and animal life. For many years it underwent an EA initiative to supplement salmon numbers in the river which was quite successful. In addition to the fish we can also boast pearl mussels and european crayfish close by if you look carefully. You should also see plenty of buzzards, red kites, kingfishers and local peregrines too on an almost daily basis.
